This week I decided to do 2 cards.  The 1st one is from Floppy Latte Design and is called Ship V.  It can be found at Stitchy bears Digital stamps. I decided to go for a monochromatic look for this card.  I thought it would look like a masculine card!  I don't  make a lot of those...  I used papers that I had in my stash and added a button and some twine. My 2nd card is made with an image from Robert Jackson called a hard day's work.  It's definetely fitting for 2 reasons.  The 1st one because I did a lot of shopping while in the states... and the 2nd because today I'm going back to work :( For this card I used some paper from K& Cie and used some pearls from the dollar store.  The sentiment is

That's pretty awesome as well because the images are really terrific. And I'm really lucky because I got to use this week Little Friends from Stitchy. I say that I'm lucky because this image really reminded me of my house lol. I have 3 dogs, 2 cats, a rabbit, some fishes, a turtle and a bird ;) So this image really reminded me of home: I used paper from Animal Antics by First Edition.  Some ribbon from my stash.  I also put some Robin's Nest dew drops.  I used Label 20 to cut out the digi as well as the layer underneath.  I also used MS border punch for the part underneath. The image was colored with my copics and then I added some Pebbles- Classic Chalks Earth tones.  I thought the white was too harsh otherw

Hello from camping - WOYWW

Image
Hello everyone!  Today we have a gorgeous day! The type of day that I would have spent on the beach... unfortunately with the rain that we had on Monday there was an overflow of the sewer system in Burlington... and we can't go in the water... :(  So I'm enjoying the wonderful day outside coloring some of my images!  And I figured I would show you my workspace and play at  WOYWW I asked my hubby to take a pic to show you guys!  So this is me working on an image: And this is my wonderful workspace ;))) I bought the great black bag for the copics yesterday at a little store in Essex, Vermont.  Unfortunately they only had one... and it only contains 72 pens... so I still have a bunch of the other containers... oh well... more reasons to continue to shop ;))) I'm really enjoying my time here.  Our second week of vacation is not as beautiful as the 1st... and we had the news that my MIL is getting much worse... My hubby went on Sunday to visit her at the hospi

Jackson's Digital Expressions - Challenge #14

Hello Everyone!  Today at Jacksons digital expressions  our Anything goes challenge is with the Alternate art team.  This means that the twist is to transform something.  And the transformation should be school related.  We are being sponsored by the wonderful I really love her designs!!!!  I've played with a few as you will have seen on my blog for those who have been following me for awhile. As you guys know... I'm not usually really fond of transforming objects... really good with cards, scrapbook pages... but to put a digi on something else is a stretch for me.  But since I wanted to play along I thought and thought and thought some more and finally came out with this.  I started out with a brown paper gift bag bought 2/1$ at the dollar store: And created this with it: I used some papers that I had in my pile of scraps (the one with the balloons).  I added some buttons and put some ribbon through them.  The buttons come from Walmart.  And colored the wonderf

DDC#21 -Anything with wheels

Image
Today at Digi darlas  our challenge is about "anything with wheels".  When I read that initially I thought right away about anything car related or automotive.... But I'm not much on doing man cards lol... So I just had to think a bit and realized that a wheel barrel also worked!  YAY and there was the cutest little digi called Flower Bugi that was perfect for this. To create this card I used paper from Daydream by first edition 6x6.  Love the shiny flowers on the paper!  I cut out the digi and the paper underneath with spellbinder label 14 die.  I paired this sweet digi with a sentiment from In my garden Jolinne by My favorite things (I've used that pack of sentiments a lot actually!  So happy when that happens!).  The ribbon is from the dollar store but it's really rich looking and the feel of it is wonderful.  The digi is colored up with my copics. Hope you come and play with us!  Just for playing you could get this wonderful digi:   So what are

Here's a closer look at the wonderful image that I colored with my copics: Here's a closer look from the side of the easel that was made: Here's the bingo card that I followed (I did the ribbon, free space and flowers (the paper) so what will you do?!?): I hope that I have inspired you to join in to our

Challenge # 23 - Crafting when we can

Image
Today at Crafting when we can challenges  our challenge is Monochrome and our wonderful sponsor is I had the chance to work with Hot Date.  This was a perfect image I find for monochromatic! The paper that I used is from Desert Bloom by First Edition.  The ribbon comes from my stash.  I used my scallop square to cut out the digi and the matting paper underneath.  The sentiment that I paired it up with comes from TLC and is called "The heat is on".  I really thought this complemented this image well.  I colored up the digi with my copics and just had to add a touch of pink ;)  I really liked the way it turned out! And when I showed it to work... somebody took it right away for a wedding anniversary.  They liked the fact that it was not the traditional look ;)  Really love it when others like what I make. I hope that I will have inspired you to play with us at Crafting when we can challenges . I'm entering this card in the following challenges: L

So this is what I started off with: It's a little easel with a canvas.  The image that I was working with from Bugaboo is Frame it Today's menu and I thought this would be a great addition to my kitchen.  Since I have 4 kids... there's always one or two or three (if I'm not lucky lol) that complaints somehow about the food!!!!  So this is the sign

So that's my last post before vacation!!!!  Don't  worry I'll still be there... but it won't be live time... I've got all the upcoming post all set up on schedule!  So let's cross our fingers and toes that blogger doesn't  create an issue lol I really wanted to play at Kraftin Kimmie before my vacation.  I missed playing last week... that almost never happens... and now I won't be playing for the upcoming weeks... so I wanted to put one in before.  This week the challenge is about using our favorite stamp!  How can I choose?!?  They are all so pretty! Finally I decided to go with a little sweetie that I have used before: I used Summer Breeze paper from First Edition for this card as well as my scalloped circle and standard circle dies.  I added some Robin's Nest Dew Drops. I have colored this wonderful stamp called Friends are for Hugging with my copics.  I created the clouds in the background with my little handmade template and stormy s
