Fresh Brewed DT post - August 31st

Image
Hello everyone!  I'm here to share with you my creation with the fabulous digi from Fresh Brewed Designs . I'm feeling really nostalgic because this is the last post from my camping journal!!!  I had so much fun creating with digis in my journal this year!  I'm going to have to do it again next year... but that is sooooo far lol Anyway here's my use of the super cute Peekaboo sunshine.  I thought it was perfect for my journal since I really really wanted some sun in our vacation!  So I was saying here that I really didn't want any clouds like it was showing in this picture...

Flying high

Image
No I'm not taking drugs lol I realize that with a title like that it might make you think that I am...  I came home late again... worked 'til 7pm again... and got in early and ate at my desk... yup pretty crazy time!  Anyway, I figured I needed some craft time just for the fun of it... no expectations, just fun. So I turned to some new stamps that I had purchased on sale over at Joanna Sheen.  Just loooove that store, free shipping after purchase of  £9 i ncluding over seas!!!  How fabulous.  And good prices and products.  And super fast delivery.  So yup... I go shopping there... too much actually.  Anyway that's not the point... the point is I got around to using the great little House Mouse stamp set Feathered Friends - Flying high.  I thought it was just perfect to play in the new challenge over at House Mouse and friends which is transportation... and also at the Joanna Sheen challenge which is Pink. So here's my card with this in mind.

Oh Tannenbaum

Image
Good evening everyone!!!  I was supposed to be here much earlier to share with you a card made with a fabulous digi from San !  But I messed up... I colored and created a card with a digi that's not released yet...ooops... and I almost posted it... yup almost ;o)  So you don't get to see it!  I realized in time that I had messed up.  So after work (which I left at 7pm...) I hurried to eat and go and create the card with the other digi that I had colored already lol Here's my little inspiration using the super fun 2013 Oh Tannenbaum that's part of the new Christmas release.  You can find it  here . I find it's never too early to get going with your Christmas card... because before you know it, it will be Christmas.  Yikes... snow and cold... better not think about that part of it yet.

Angel

Image
Goodmorning!  I hope you are having a fabulous week!  I'm here to share with you a little card I made this weekend to play at the challenge over at Dilly Beans.  This time it's inspirational quotes For this card I used 185- Angel.  This was also part of the great set I purchased when there was an awesome sale.  So very happy that I'm actually coloring the images that I purchased instead of having them stay in my computer... and just looking at them.  Yup I'm a big time hoarder... good thing those don't take much room.

A little card for my son

Image
Hello everyone!  Hope you had a fabulous Sunday!  I had a lot of fun.  I crafted a lot... but this time I was pretty naughty... I crafted for me... and to enter some challenges that I really wanted to participate in... so I'm going to be really really late with my DT card next week if I don't craft this week lol  oops... but it was lot's of fun. The card that I'm showing you is made for my son William who will be starting in a new school this week... he's really upset with the change... and rightly so.  The school system reorganized the schools and to make a long story short he's changing school for his grade 5 and 6.... :(  So I wanted to bring a smile to his face that day.  There's a challenge going on at Tiddly Inks about school.  And this seemed appropriate for him.  I used a wonderful little image called Kiki.  It was a freebie (might still be in the store).  See, our dogs have had the kids with them the entire summer... so for them as well it will be

Groove on!

I needed some great sentiment to go with these awesome images.  So I let Paulette from  Create with TLC  know about this challenge taking place and she came out with some really awesome sentiments to go with the images You can find these here .  If you are playing in this challenge those are

Image
Good evening everyone!!!  I thought about it!  And here I am with my post about what is going on this Wednesday on my workdesk!  Just in time to participate with the post over at  WOYWW So this time I'm here to share with you that I have some brand new ideas to play with... ;o) I saw a great idea in a Magnolia magazine and really want to try it out.  So my dad was really wonderful and created a bunch of little wood block the size of ATCs for me to play with  ;o)  And that's the box that's on my desk!  I also have my faithful copic color chart.  You can also see in the back my little washi tape dispenser with the many levels all filled btw... but now at least I started using them. The other totally exciting news is that I started a darker site that can be found here:  Darker-side-of-me-craftingvicky.blogspot.ca .  I finally took the plunge!  Halloween is coming and I totally love that time.  I want to be able to challenge myself to do some of the more gruesome stuff..

Sunshine and sunflowers

Image
Goodmorning!  It's time for my progressive challenge post for the great freebie over at Outlaws.  Oh my how fast do 2 weeks go.... but since I really love their digis I just have to find some time in my busy weekend to color up some images lol then I only have to do the card in the week.  It's easier to just assemble then to try and color and assemble during a weeknight. So this time I used the fabulous 111 - Sunflowers by Sandi Samples.  I really love the bright sunflowers.  I find them so very cheerful!

Smile it makes people wonder

Image
Hello everyone!  Hope you are having a great week so far.  I'm doing good.  I'm in the midst of my budget process... so doing the budget tour and lots of meetings...actually all day meetings all week.  Other than that got the news that my youngest son William will have to change school this year so in a week he's starting off at a different school so that's really hard for him.  He's starting his 5th grade. I'm here because I created a card this past weekend for the new challenge over at Dilly Beans!  I have purchased a whole set of digis (the retiring ones 50 for 25$ how cool right?!?) and so I try to keep using them!  I seem to accumulate fabulous digis and then I don't use them.  So my new resolution is to use them, that and my stamps.  Let's see how long this resolution lasts lol  But without that, I really have no reason to purchase anything if I don't actually use it! This time their challenge is Little Monster so I used the so very cute 38

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #161

Image
Hello everyone!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another challenge over at  Tuesday Throwdown .  And this time our challenge for you is to use scraps!!!  And our sponsor for you is And for my card I used the so very cute Pouting Pup.  I needed a thinking of you card and I thought this was just perfect. When I read that we were doing scraps... I thought it was the perfect time to use some of my left over papers.  Especially all the little pieces that I have and can't  seem to use other than for my ATCs.    I was wondering what to do as a layout...  And here's what I came up with.

oh my the dark side has emerged...

Hello everyone!  I finally got around to creating a darker site for all my darker creations ;o)  Actually I've been tame... because I didn't want to offend my nice follower here!!!  I know that darker stuff is not to everyone liking.  But for those of you that do like it, here's my new blog address for that side of me mwhahahah!!!!!  Hey Halloween is coming... and that's one of my favorite time of the year!!!!! So here's the address if you want to come over:  http://darker-side-of-me-craftingvicky.blogspot.ca/ Hugs

I also used a sentiment that I had gotten over at Word Art Wednesday challenge.  I just loved that sentiment and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to use it.  As you know Optimism also comes from knowing good will be coming to you!  And the best thing is that you know one day (hopefully much later) you will get to meet our maker.  So no matter how bad he is there and ready for you. Here's my card with this new set.  Hope you like it!  My daughter totally loved it.  It helps that I used some of the colors she really loves lol

ATC - Vintage Butterfly afternoon

Image
Here's my 2nd inspiration post with the great new promo set over at  Create with TLC  and this time I made a little ATC.  I thought the image Vintage butterflies afternoon would make a fabulous ATC background!!! So I only added a little butterfly die cut made with CC designs butterfly, a little bling from Recollection and the little corner die cut from a left over project.  Thought the colors were fitting with this. I'm entering this in the following challenges: Fun with atcs  - Die Cuts Card crafters circle  - Winged things Cut it up challenges  - What's bugging you - Butterfies are bugs... so thought this would work. And that's it!!!  I'm off to do some dreaded housework and then to craft a bit.  It's gorgeous outside... but I really really want to play with my craft stuff... I've been missing it. Hugs

Little Fragile

Image

oh baby - you've been framed!

Image
Hello everyone!  Hope you had a better morning than me... I had some blood test to do.  Which in itself would not be so bad except for 2 things, I have small veins and nurses have a lot to trouble finding them... and 2 one of the tests required that I had a blood test every 30minutes for 2 hours... so all in all 5 sets of pocks... now for the test I couldn't eat for 12 hours... that in itself is hard and no coffee either... so started the day with a headache.  And after she pocked me twice in each arm for the 1st set of blood samples... I passed out!!!  So she had to pock me again this time lying down.  That means 3 pocks for the 1st set... you can imagine the rest... so bad that she ended up the 4th and 5th samples taking it from my fingertips... ughhhh I really hate this!!! The good thing is that I'm alone for the weekend with my son Gregory and we went to watch Despicable me 2!!!  And as my 1st meal of the day I had popcorn and chicken nuggets lol  But it was really fun.

Scribbles Challenge - Challenge # 8

Image
Hello fellow Scribblers!!!  It's time for a new challenge over at  Scribbles designs challenge  and this time our challenge for you is CAS!!!! YUP I know for some of you this will be quite a challenge.... I decided for my CAS card to go with a monochrome look.  I find that it's easier to do so in that way... and well black and white already makes it more CAS in my mind... lol I know my mind might be funny... For this card I decided to go with the awesomse Summer Solstice 1.  I just looooove the elegance of this stamp and I find it's just perfect for a get well card that could be used for a man as well as a woman.
