Crop Top Cutie - Karleigh Sue

Hello everyone I'm here with a beautiful digi from Karleigh sue .  I have done another little journaling out of the box (you have to see my series on Youtube to get why I call it that).  Where I'm using for the background some recycled cereal box (very cool when you consider how much cereal we go through with 4 kids in the house!!!! And this time I went retro!  I really love the awesome look of this digi for this.  She really reminded me of the dinner eras!  The super cute digi that I used is  Crop Top Cutie You can see on youtube how I made this. And here's the make that I did.  The sentiment is from  Gingers house ,  The image was colored with my copics.  I used my stamp from Paper Artsy.  I used many different layers on this and you can see them here here.  Hope you like it!!! Morning Goddess Carla - RSD

Hello everyone!!!!  It's time for a new inspiration post from me!  And I'm finally doing something new for my coffee book!  This time it's using a great digi from RSD called  Morning goddess carla . She totally reminded me of little Mrs Roper from 3s companies :) I used to love watching those as a child :)  yeah.... I was YOUNG! Jammin Jayden - Art by Mi Ran

Hello everyone!  I'm here this month with all masculine makes!!!  I know right?!? (yeah same start from last post lol) but it's true!!! It's rare that I did Art by Mi Ran male pieces!!! This is my very last post on the showcase !  I am leaving Art by Mi Ran.  Sad but at the same time I thought it was time.  Not sure that my stuff is up to all the fab work I see on here :)  I'm feeling that I'm totally fortunate to have been able to be here from the beginning and have been with this totally AMAZING group of artists!!!  And the most fabulous of them all is Mi Ran!  So sweet and generous with her time and advice.  LOVE HER and totally will be continuing to follow her and make stuff with her art. Anyway enough before I start crying here.... My last make is a playful one for my little nephew's b-day that is coming up.  I thought that   Jammin Jayden  would be perfect for him. I used a lot of left over papers that I had in my stash.

Well you know how I love the hippie era!!!  Hence my digi for my name from Karleigh Sue .  For this make I'm doing a journaling out of the box (you have to see my series on Youtube to get why I call it that).  I'm using for the background some recycled cereal box (very cool when you consider how much cereal we go through with 4 kids in the house!!!! I am doing so much now with recycled products and it's great to be using something of this kind!!! So here's the  digi  that I used so that you can check it out and play with it. Coco Steampunk - Faery ink new release

Hello everyone!!!!  It's time for a new release over at  Faery Ink  and this month there's lots with Steampunk!!!  I just loooove that and I'm super excited :)  The one that I'm using today is called Coco Steampunk and I'm making a big journaling out of the box with it. You are lucky I filmed my process if you are interested in checking this out And here it is for those of you that don't want to watch the entire process! The background on this is a cardboard from a cereal box!!!  I really love the idea of recycling this way.  I used some papers from my work desk as well as newspapers.  I used a great sentiment from Gingers house .  The gears were purchased at Ali Express.  I don't remember the paints that I used but you can see them on the video :)   The digi was colored with my copics and then fussy cut. Chilly Willy Bella - Mixed media journal out of the box

Hey folks!!!!  Hope that you are staying safe and warm!!!  It was totally MISERABLE here today (well it's yesterday since I'm posting this the next day...), snow, freezing rain, rain.... Mother nature couldn't make up her mind.... and they are announcing much of the same tomorrow.... I won't tell you how bad the commute was... very very happy not to be traveling much these days to go to work!!!!  Working closer to home is a GODSEND really!!! Anyway this weekend while it was SUPER cold - 21 celcius but about -40 celsius which is the same in Farenheit from what my hubby tells me :) doesn't it make me look bright and intelligent lol anyway.... I made this little journal out of the box with the super cute and fun Chilly Willy Bella from Sassy Cheryl. I have made a little video of my process if you want to check it out. Hello!!!!  Hope you are all doing good and staying warm!!!  Here it's supposed to be a bit warmer.... but they are announcing freezing rain :(  oh well soon this will be over and we can be wearing flip flops again.... a girl can dream right?!? Anyway I'm here to share with you a brand new release image today called Sexie Irie!!!!  Love this great image.  I happen to love beer so that's an image that really talks to me lol.  You can get the image here in the shop  For this I did her with little freckles :)  I thought this would be perfect to represent me a bit.  The image was colored with my copics and then I just doodled and played :)  She's a little journaling in my handmade little journal/book that I did. Scribble Design Challenge - Use a Freebie

Well it's time for a brand new challenge over at  Scribbles Designs  and this time around it's a SUPER easy challenge!!!  It's about using a Freebie!!!  And there are so many over at Scribbles that you don't even have to go anywhere to get them!!!! In my case I decided to make some little gifts for my team!!  And I used the great   Flutter heart  digis I put little hershey's kisses in those little bags that I got at the dollar store.

Heart and/or Arrows - RSD challenge midway post

Hello!!!!  It's time for my post about the great new challenge on FB for Rick St-Dennis !!!  And for this month it's about Heart and/or Arrows. When I heard about this I thought it would be great to use the super cute little  Rag Doll 2  And right now it's on sale for only 1.5$!!!!! So I decided to make a little ATC and here it is I sent it to Rick St-Dennis for his review!  He said that it was nice but he offered me a challenge... to make more using the same digi and making the digi 1/3 bigger everytime!  Now I'm always up for a challenge.... so here are my makes.  And of course when I thought about that challenge.... I just had to come up with a story not just put them random. Here they are in order:  The final one  And finally the set of them all. I colored all of them with my copics.  The backgrounds were done with some gelatos and water and my fingers lol messy but so fun.  The stamping was done using a stamp from Paper Artsy.  I used some

Hello everyone!  It's time for a new challenge over at  The East Wind  and this time around it's about Dressing up!!! I'm using the very cute little Baby Aurora Birthday princess .  I thought she would be PERFECT for my little niece b-day card. She is turning 4 this March.  Wow time sure goes by fast. I didn't go with the typical colors... I found a great piece of Design paper in one of my Studio Calico paper pack.  I thought it would be the perfect base.  And it made for a very very bright card.

Oddball February Challenge reminder

Happy Valentine's day to you all!!!!  Hope you are staying warm.  Here it was -46 Celcius with the windshield factor yesterday.... yikes that is very cold.  But we really can't complain because so far the winter as been really mild and not much snow which is totally fine by me! Today I'm here to share with you my latest journaling with a great image from Oddball. There's a challenge on FB and it's anything goes with an Oddball image so super easy to participate!!! Aurora Siesta IV - The East Wind

Hello everyone!!!  There's a brand new image today over at  The East Wind .  And it's just stunning as all the images are.  When I saw it I knew right away the background that I wanted to use this on!! I had taken a class at Scrapbook Centrale (a local store) and used the left over paints that I had on a journal page.  This page was still pending in my journal. You can see my process in the video here: Because I wanted the background to still show I used my Silk paints on top of this little journaling because silk paints are transparent. I added some sprays from Heidi swap as well.  The doodling was done using my faber castell pitt pens and the sentiment and flower in black were done using some stamps. Gentleman George - Art By Mi Ran

Hello everyone!  I'm here this month with all masculine makes for Art By Mi Ran !!!  I know right?!? Never posted any masculine post on the showcase blog before!!!!  But have your seen the latest makes?!? They are just FABULOUS.  And when I saw  Gentleman George  I just KNEW this would make a great steampunk make. I made a little video of my process if you are interested in seeing how it was made :) I really really really loved how this turned out! Hello everyone!  Hope you are having a great creative weekend.  Yesterday my day was spent mostly doing errands... and getting glasses for 2 of my youngest kids :(  The good news is that now they will see well and they are looking very handsome with the glasses! However this meant that I really didn't have much time to create.  I found some time to play with a great digi from Rick St-Dennis called  Art will set us free . More Mixed Media Challenge - Red

Hello!  It's time for a new challenge over at  More mixed media challenge  and this time it's about RED! Oddball FB challenge February 2016

Wow time sure goes by quickly!!!  It's already time for the new challenge over at the Facebook group of Oddball designs . It's always anything goes if you enter those challenge so long as you use an Oddball image.  If you don't have one don't forget you can get a 10% off using the code DTVICKY10 :) For my make I used the fab image 184 .  I have been coloring in one of those adult coloring book and I've been thinking that it's all good that I have fun doing that.... but then once I'm finished what do I do with all that coloring?!?  Do I just throw it away?!?  And then I suddenly thought I could use it as backgrounds for what I make and turn this into a little journal!!!  So this is what I did with this image!  The background was colored with my prismacolor as well as with my polychromos by Fabercastel. The digi was colored with my copics and I used some gelli roll pen on the wings for sparkle.  I used a sentiment from Dylusions. Here's a cl

Hi!!!  It's Monday... :( boohooo that means no crafting time for me.... but the good thing is that I had something already prepared for you!  Today is the midway post over at  Scribbles challenge  and it's all about hearts which is totally awesome when you are trying to get organized for Valentine's day. I have been trying to get some little cards made this time around because I'm spending a fortune in stamps lol.  For my make I'm using the super cute    Mr-wool-oon . The background for this card was a premade little card.  I just added a little bit of scrap paper, a little heart sticker and a little sentiment from  Create with TLC .  The image was colored with my copics.  The texture on the wool is some light grey copics. I think this will make a super cute little card for my little niece! Bella 90s heart  is the perfect image for people that are my age. Oh man did I give away how old I am?!?  lol I thought she was the candidate to make a birthday card for administrative assistant of my husband :) I made her blond because his admin is blond and I wanted it to look like her.  But she would look fab in other hair color as well.

Delicious Doodles - Love

Hello everyone!  It's time for a new challenge over at  Delicious Doodles  where the theme is love.  Now there's a lot of fab images that I could have used for this.... but this image called to me :)  Love's Faded Memory .  I thought that this is what love is all about!!!!  For Eternity even after death! I colored this with my copics and edged everything with my Frayed burlap distress ink. The paper was in my stash.  I stamped the words using one of my big word stamps. The east wind - Friendship

Hello everyone!  It's February!!!  And this means a new challenge and freebie over at  The East Wind . This time the challenge is about Friendship.  And the super cute little image was JUST PERFECT for my new adventure I thought.  Back at the beginning of the year I mentioned that I wanted to try to make a little book about doing a scavenger alphabet book.  This image had a tree which in French is Arbre and Friends is in French Amis. This made my very 1st page of my new book.  It's the book Supid white men that I am using for this.  I have used a die to make the tab for each alphabet letter. I used my Neocolors to make the background.  The tree was colored with my copics and some crayola pencils.  The A is an alphabet sticker from Creative memories. Here's a closer look at the image.
