Have you heard - Karleigh Sue digis

Image
Hello!  I'm here for my 2nd inspiration post of the month for Karleigh Sue and I had fun journaling again.  But this time just for the fun of it in a journal that I made some time ago and don't use enough! Here is the make using the wonderful image  Have you heard . Since it's an homemade journal the pages are from the book itself.  And the background came together as an accident because I had put too much brushos on the page on the other side.  When I closed the book to try to absorb some of it this is what happened :)  Love it when the background makes itself!  I use some prima metallic chalk edger in gold. The image was colored with my copics.  Hope you like it!!! I'm entering this in the following challenges: Snarky stampers  - N is for not a card Crafting in a beautiful mess  - Anything goes Art by miran challenge  - Anything goes 2 crafty girls challenges  - Anything goes Crafty-girls-creations  - Anything goes Have a fabulous Sunday and stay

Daisy April RSD - Mixed media junk journal cover

Image
Hello!  It's Tuesday and it was a fabulous long weekend here!!!  Just GORGEOUS and I actually was able to go in the pool yesterday which is pretty amazing because it's really really early in the season and we only got it fully working on Saturday... so yeah all good I'm here to share with you what I made as my cover for a new junk journal for a friend.  I'm trying to make her happy and give her something to look at when she's not feeling well. The great image that I used is from Rick St-Dennis and it's called  April Daisy You can see the making of the journal cover here I had a lot of fun coloring this image with my copics.  The buttons were colored with wink by stella and then I used my gelly roll pen on it. The stencils that I used are from Megan Suarez ( you can find them on etsy)  I used a little tissue paper from a shoe box.  The background of the sentiment is from a spellbinder die and I used a little bow colored with my copics.  The sentiment

Prince Tribute - Karleigh Sue

Image
While I was in Greece the world lost a great artist.  And at the time I wasn't able to express how sad I was with this loss. Prince meant so much to me.  My teenage years were marked with his singing and of course my dancing... not that I danced all that well but I thought so at the time. Anyway when I saw this fabulous digi from Karleigh Sue I knew that I totally HAD to play with it for this tribute. I wanted to have some of the words of one of his song as the sentiment on this... but at the same time the album Purple Rain with that song was just my 1st thought... but the song didn't fit however "When doves cry". I colored the image with my copics.  The background was made with some deli paper that I painted purple then I did some dendritic print on it with white paint and tore those out.  I added some ribbon as well as a spellbinder diecut.  I used some prima chalk paint on the side. Destiny Tinman - Fairy Ink post

Image
Destiny Tinman  was my inspiration for the sentiment that was ideal for a postcard to send to a friend. I have a friend who was in need of some pick me up!  So I thought this would be the perfect postcard to cheer her up!  And I'm very happy to report that it did work.  And how easy is it to make a little postcard like this when you have a great image to work with and just some recycled material.   Of course I'm French.... so I messed up the saying... should have said Tin-king of you... and not Thin-king of you... oh well I'm sure that was also part of what cheered my friend up lol I have made a little video to share with you the process of this in case you want to do something similar and this one was a SUPER fast make so you have no reason not to try this out. And here's the actual little postcard that I made. The image was colored with my copics.  I fussy cut her out.  The background was simply some deli paper that I use as the cover sheets to my desk

Karleigh Sue Inspiration - Mary Jane

Image
Well it's Monday!!  But the good news is that it's time to share some inspiration for the  Karleigh Sue  .  And this time we are sharing with you some fab makes with the wonderful Mary Janes series. I used the wonderful Stoner Chick .  I soooo wasn't sure on what to do on this post... but then after thinking I thought of the song from the Beatles called Lucy in the sky with diamonds  And here's what I made with this :) The background was done while at a class with silks.  I added a bunch of washi tape as well as some letters.  The sentiment comes from the song and I wrote it on my word document.  I colored the image with my copics. I'm entering this journaling page in the following challenges: Eclectic ellapu  - Anything goes Crafting-with-friends  - anything goes Crafting with an attitude  - anything goes Through the purple haze challenges  - anything goes Southern girls challenge  - Anything goes That's it for me for today!!!  Hope you have
